Hi everybody, and thanks for stopping by. Probably we never met - so I will introduce myself. Some friends call me "Bürger" (really uncool), some "M-Boy" (better not), a few "Manu" (fine - if you know me more than two years). So... hello, it's me, "Manuel".

Manuel Buerger Shake Your Tree

Manuel "M-Boy" Bürger (1980) lives
and works around the world

Teachings: I studied visual communication at Merz-Akademie Stuttgart, Germany, and graduated with Master of European Media Arts in 2007 (also Diplom Designer FH). The major focus of my study laid in combining conceptual work (mostly cultural-historical background) with graphic design. As you can see in my thesis or this little fanzine.

My basic approaches: Work rational, clever and simple. Try to design unique (not interchangeable) things. Care about what you are communicating. Touch the hype but reverse it at the same time. Have fun.

Internships:
- Eikes grafischer Hort, Frankfurt, 2005
- Karlssonwilker inc., New York City, 2006

Shaker:
- 1/3 founder of Shake Your Tree Network
- Member of the notorious Discoghosts

Acknowledge:
My works have been recognized in several magazines such as Lodown, form, Neon, Page, De:bug to feature pages of Süddeutsche Zeitung.Read a nice article about my work by Marisa Olsen of Rhizome.org
